CAPP and the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC), developed this standardized awareness program so First Responders could safely and effectively respond to flammable liquid incidents involving rail cars and truck transport. This course has been endorsed by Transport Canada’s Steering Committee on First Responder Training as part of the bilingual flammable liquid training curriculum for First Responders, serving as the first level of awareness training (Level 1). Basic operations level training (Level 2) and advanced operations level training (Level 3) for First Responders are available via the Justice Institute of British Columbia’s (JIBC) website at: https://www.jibc.ca.
